Saanich Council Candidate Matt McGeachie
1. Are you familiar with the lingering issues created by the People, Pets and Parks Strategy in Saanich?
My understanding is that many people are unhappy with the implementation of the PPP strategy. I’m hearing issues with the appropriateness of some dog accessible park areas as well fencing, among other things.
2. Has the People, Pets, and Parks (PPP) initiative been effective so far? Why or why not?
From what I am hearing there are many unsatisfied residents. People are telling me that their concerns where not being respected.

6. Are you familiar with the Peg and Post fencing added to PKOLS this year?

I do not support the current fencing as it is unsightly and quite likely an impediment to wildlife in the park. I would prefer split rail fencing to demark this trail.
7. In seeking to be elected what do you stand for that you think would be important for our members to know about?
One of my primary reasons for running for council is that I feel that many residents’ voices are not being heard. I will enco
